- Hands-on
My name is Amaia G. Marzabal and I’m a Spanish artist based in NYC. From a young age I have developed a passion for art. I spent the main part of my childhood attending art schools and art competitions. That allowed me to explore different techniques and was my first introduction to the art world. After finishing my education from a german school in Spain I focussed my interest in the studies of the Fine Arts and received a grant to study in Milan, Italy, where I did my first solo exhibition. After graduating with a BFA, and working as a graphic designer for different agencies. I shifted my focus and was accepted back into the MFA Research in Art Program (Spain). Few years later, I continued my new passion in academia by being accepted into my secondary Masters of Teaching Art. This is where I have honed my skills for being a professor. I was dedicated to building a parallel between the art world and the world of academia. It was my dedication to Art that brought me to New York. My efforts led me to being part of exhibitions and galleries, where my work was sold to different collectors. As an art teacher I like to focus on student development, providing a proper environment for students to develop their own styles in art careers. During all these years I have grown experience teaching oil and acrylic techniques, arts & crafts, mural painting, graphic design and illustration.
