Class Description
Welcome to Lego Legends - a hands-on building adventure for young Lego enthusiasts! This isn’t just free play. Guided by a passionate instructor and master builder, students will learn new brick-building techniques, explore creative problem-solving, and tackle exciting design challenges each week. From discovering how simple pieces can create motion to mastering architectural tricks for stability, kids will walk away with fresh skills and plenty of pride in their creations. Bricks are provided by the instructor, and students are also welcome to bring favorite pieces from home to personalize their builds. Whether your child dreams of building a spaceship, a skyscraper, or something totally out-of-this-world, Lego Legends will help bring their imagination to life - one brick at a time. Please note: This class requires either a high materials budget or the purchase of several Lego kits to ensure every student has access to quality building supplies.

One of my favorite things about teaching kids theatre is that it allows me to stay in touch with the sense of play and joy that comes so naturally to those wonderful little humans. Seeing the confidence and creativity that develops from this collaborative art form inspires me every single day, and I've dedicated the last eight years of my life to cultivating those values in the mini humans that often prove to be just as much teachers as learners. I graduated with an MA in Educational Theatre from Adelphi University in 2021 and a Theatre BA from the University of Southern California in 2016, where I founded an a cappella group as well as a weekly theatre program with neighboring public elementary schools. In 2015, I produced the 30th Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts at Paramount Studios, where I integrated a theatrical element to a festival that had prior been predominantly based in the fine arts. Since then, I've taught theatre with Acting Adventures, the Fox Studios Child Development Center, Troy Camp, and Brooklyn Acting Lab. I'm passionate about traveling, finding moments to dance with reckless abandon, and the importance of letting the inner child lead in rediscovering the little joys in everyday life. I'm incredibly excited to have joined the Togetherhood family, and look forward to creating magic together!
