I have 20 years+ experience as a Teaching Artist, developing and facilitating creative & innovative hand on programs. Working with all age groups, (mostly tweens and teens), The first program was African Hair Braiding, which I taught a the Queens Public Libraries. My participates were teenage girls, so because of that I start creating Arts & Craft Programs that would interest both, (teen girls and boys). Programs- T-shirt design-make a basket ball jersey-leather backpack making - decorating jeans -make a shadow box- mosaic tile designs-journal making - Jewelry design and more. I then extended teaching my programs to the New York Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library and to schools. The discovery of one's imagination can reveal talents and capabilities, which all of us have. My focus when I teach is to always provide inventiveness, originality and stimulate creative thinking and have fun at the same time.
