- Part of my work on the Edison Escape Room in San Francisco, CA, includes an introductory speech which was recorded and is played on a wax cylinder.
- My dog, Starbuck, is named for Moby Dick, not the coffee shop.
- I used to live in an apartment connected to a pet store and would frequently have to wrangle lizards when they escaped from their broken cage.
I am Dungeon Master and theater maker with over ten years of professional experience. I have written numerous plays and musicals, and have a background in improv, dramaturgy and Shakespeare studies. For two years, I have been running campaigns for children and teaching young would-be Dungeon Masters. A San Franciscan at heart, I have been living in Queens’s Astoria neighborhood off and on for a decade. I believe in the power of language as a structuring tool for society, but believe unlocking its mysteries must be, most of all, fun and exciting. Moreover, I strive to adapt difficult material, whether that be the linguistic challenges of Shakespeare or the dense three hundred page rule book of Dungeons & Dragons, into forms suitable for most ages. I bring my expertise in, and enthusiasm for, storytelling and language to both classes and tabletop RPG campaigns.
