My name is Tyra Hardy but I go by Tyra Medina. I was born and raised in Brooklyn,NY. I’ve been Acting for 12 years and Teaching for 5 years. My passion for teaching began after I graduated from LaGuardia Community College where I majored in theatre and expanded as I pursued my BFA in Acting at Pace University. I’ve taught in both public school and private school settings. My preferred teaching areas are Pre-k through 8th grade however I do have experience teaching High Schoolers. My mission as a teaching Artist has always been to give the youth a voice and a safe space to express themselves. I focus on the quality of work that my students are receiving so they can show up as their best selves not only in the theater but in the world. In my past time I enjoy reading plays, dancing( Hip Hop, Contemporary, Afro-beat and Heels Choreography) and traveling.
