Hi! I'm Ikisha. I was born and raised in Harlem, NY while attending NYC Public Schools in the G&T Program from the second to eighth grade. It was during middle school that I was afforded the opportunity to attend the National Academy of Fine Art and Design on the weekends and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the summer. I then attended LaGuardia High School where I majored in Art and won the Studio Artist Award in Watercolor in my Senior Year. I went on to pursue both my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree as a two-time graduate of the City University of New York. I also graduated from New York Theological Seminary with a Certificate in Christian Ministry.
Since 2016, I have been a lead artist for my company Brown Girl Art Group LLC where I freelance during the evenings and weekends providing arts entertainment services throughout the NYC area. Beside facilitating workshops and paint parties, my professional work experience ranging from Arts & Crafts Specialist working with children to Career Advisor (which I am currently) working with adult learners. My favorite disciplines are drawing and painting with a fondness for oil, acrylic, and watercolors mediums.
