Hi there! My name is Oscar and I've found deep admiration for basketball and coaching the sport. I am born and raised in Kearny, NJ and am currently finishing up my studies at Rutgers-Newark Business school for a degree in marketing. While attending college, I've been coaching basketball for an AAU program for over two years. At this program, I've learned a lot about helping kids develop their skills and unlock their potential in the game. Through building skillsets in dribbling, shooting, passing, and defending, I've helped kids improve day-to-day and implement these skills into tournaments on the weekends. I find great passion and charisma in teaching the game and am constantly looking for further opportunities. While teaching and coaching, I look to incorporate communication with parents to outline improvements, individual teaching moments to kids for greater understanding, and give a fun but competitive experience for the kids to find joy in playing basketball.
