Shadae Hyde is a trained dancer, musician, artist, and performer. From a young age, Shadae showed promise, coming from a family of artists with natural artistic abilities of her own, her potential was quickly recognized in school. She began her ballet training through a scholarship program from American Ballet Theatre’s Ballet Tech. After six years of ballet training, she became well-versed in various styles of dance including but not limited to, jazz, ballroom, belly dancing, Bharatanatyam traditional Indian storytelling dance, and capoeira a Brazilian martial arts-inspired style of dance. During this time she was also a competitor in state-wide dance competitions and beauty pageants, one of which lead to a feature in The New York Times. After her junior year in high school, she received the opportunity to dance with the Alvin Ailey Junior Division, and toured with their Pre-Professional Company during her senior year. After high school she took a position as the head choreographer for a youth program where she discovered her passion for teaching, inspiring, and mentoring urban youth. During that time she began working with one of her high school dance instructors on professional freelance projects. This led to her becoming the Co-Director of his dance school, School of Blyss. From the start of her professional career in performing arts and business, Shadae has made unique strides to position herself in multiple competitive industries. Beyond her start in doing choreography for dance programs and music artists, she acquired skills in styling and creative direction. This led to the start of her fashion brand Ngozi, which has allowed her to feature ensembles in fashion shows and music videos. Ngozi is also featured on an online marketplace for vintage and handmade items. Shadae has now branched out into business development, Brand design, and ambassadorship with private clientele.
