Biology— through a lens of curiosity and creativity
- When we look at distant galaxies, we are seeing them as they were billions of years ago when the universe was much younger.
- Metamorphic rocks start as one type of rock and—with pressure, heat, and time—gradually change into a new type of rock. In this way, they record the history of Earth!
- The human eye can only see a small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is called the visible spectrum. These include the wavelengths that give rise to our perceptions of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.
I want to help you tap into your reason— your why. Whether I’m teaching biology or helping you write a personal statement, my best skill is getting that story out of you, and using that to help you excel.
My background in teaching has spanned peer education in college chemistry to revising essays for college applications. I connect best with students who struggle with ADHD, guiding them not just on schoolwork, but more importantly, on building lifelong habits and a sense of confidence. I also speak Spanish, Urdu, and Gujarati.
Some of my technical credits include: Adjunct Faculty at the University of Texas at Dallas; chemistry teachers assistant at University of Texas at Austin; Masters in biological sciences from Tufts Medical School; a 502 on the MCAT, and some not-terrible attempts at many other standardised tests!
I will challenge you, because someone believed in me enough to do the same for me. Let’s do this!
