Hi, I am Dante Milligan, I am a New York City native and instructional basketball teacher/coach who currently resides in upper Manhattan. I fell in love with the game of basketball at a young age and was fortunate enough to be able to play the game at various levels and places around the world. I played college basketball at the division one level and had the opportunity to participate in the NCAA tournament as well as the post season NIT tournament. I am a former professional basketball player who has spent the last 8+ years coaching basketball at all levels, ranging from the youth to professional level. I enjoy teaching kids with passion and passing on the wealth of knowledge I've received during my basketball career as a player and coach. I believe in creating teaching environments for kids that are instructional, engaging, interactive and fun at the same time. In all sports, I believe there are multiple ways to include productive life lessons and teaching points through sports and activities. Sports is a tool that can help develop character, personality and bring people together from different lanes of life. Coaching in youth sports for many years, I have seen kids from all different backgrounds and parts of the world come together, learn and compete against each other while maintaining a desire to improve individually within the sport.
