Musical Theatre and More Direct from Broadway
- I have performed on six continents (still holding out for the Antarctica production of Frozen...).
- I am a scuba diver, and have dove off the coasts of six continents (Antarctica once again killing my flow).
- I have arguably the most chaotic Spotify wrapped list you will encounter.
I come directly from the Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera, where I infuse real-world experience with a whole lot of fun into my classes. My approach to teaching is well-rounded with a focus on process, not product (although that can be fun in the end!). I'm a firm believer that the arts can and should provide a sense of community, as well as making us more creative and empathetic people. I've taught everything from audition technique to Shakespeare (with eight year olds!), and am happy to craft a curriculum based on students' needs. I also have a lot of experience teaching developmentally disabled people, and am a firm believer that we should work together to make theatre more accessible for all. As a teaching artist, I always emphasize the importance of teamwork and working as an ensemble. These are a few of my values as an artist, and I hope to share some more with you soon while crafting a curriculum specific to your students!
