Celebration Day for Girls: Parent-Daughter Menstrual Workshops
- I have shared my workshops in 7 countries.
- Girls have on average 450 periods in their life - that is a lot of creative power to learn about how to navigate!
- I am from New York and am a certified teacher here.
I am a teacher from New York with a bachelors in Literature and a Masters in Education K-12. I have taught English to students ages 7-18 in New York, Florida, Colombia, Peru, Israel, Australia, and India before shifting my focus to puberty, menstrual cycle awareness and sex education. While teaching Sex Ed in schools I discovered the large gap in the SexEd curriculums around the menstrual cycle, embodiment, and our connection to nature. Because of this I dove into deepening my studies around these topics and started sharing international workshops supporting and guiding people of all ages to their inner rhythms and intuition through lectures, art, poetry, music and somatic movement experiences. I am committed to making puberty and menstruation comfortable and exciting, supporting people of all ages in their processes of embodiment, rights of passage, and growth.
Growing up involves so much change. I will create a space for girls to feel informed and confident about their bodies. It will be a day of crafts, activities, and stories to demystify puberty in a fun, exciting and comfortable way. After this workshop students will feel like a menstrual leader!
