I recently received my Ph.D. in Comparative Literature with a Specialization in Italian from The Graduate Center, CUNY. I wrote my dissertation on an Italian filmmaker and animator named Bruno Bozzetto, and have done lots of research and writing on Italian cinema, culture, film theory, animation, and television. I love talking about movies, TV, and pop culture. I have also been a college Italian instructor for eight years in New York City, where I was able to hone my skills as an educator and mentor, and share the language and culture I love so much with others. Being the daughter of an Italian immigrant, I am very proud to share the Italian language with others, and I am incredibly passionate about all things Italy!

I was led to both grad school and teaching by a lifelong love of words: reading and writing them, learning them, speaking them, sharing them.
