I am a retired New York City public school woodshop teacher. I taught for 25 years. I have a Masters degree in Special education.I worked in a self contained special education school located in District 75. District 75 is the arm of the NYCDOE that services students with special needs .All the students that I worked with had disabilities that ranged from emotional disturbance to autism and learning disabilities . I was a carpenter throughout my teens and twenties, doing work such as kitchen, and bathroom remodeling. Since retirement I launched a licensed and insured home improvement company . I specialize in custom projects that meet my clients needs. I have my own shop that I build furniture in. I decided to connect with Togetherhood because I miss teaching . I totally enjoy working as a carpenter but miss the interactions with students.
