I am Kayla Mone’t , and I was born and raised in the city of Richmond, Virginia. From a young age, I knew dance was my calling; I began my journey at just three years old. It wasn’t long before my passion turned into something more serious, leading me to a transformative opportunity at the age of 16 when I was invited to train with the prestigious Joffrey Ballet. This experience laid the foundation for my future, and I went on to further hone my craft at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where I immersed myself in acting, voice, theater, and dance. These diverse skills not only expanded my artistic repertoire, but also helped shape my identity as a full-time creative and choreographer. Teaching dance is not just a job for me; it's a calling that fuels my creativity and reinforces my commitment to education and the arts.
