Greetings! I’m a multi-media artist and educator from NYC. Empathy and care for the natural world, and the creative growth and development of the spirited folks within it, are great motivators in my life. Thus, my approach to teaching is humanistic in nature, and I take pride in my role as an educator to show up for students with enthusiasm, patience, warmth, and guidance. I understand the importance of play, collaboration, and fluidity as educational tools, while also providing support, trust, and a safe and healthy environment for all students. My mediums of exploration in and outside the classroom include drawing and painting, comics writing and storytelling, zine and collage arts, playwriting, performing arts, mask-making and puppetry, musical recording and songwriting, clay and sculpture, textiles, printmaking, traditional stop motion animation, music video, culinary arts, gardening, wild foraging, herbalism & farming, and somatic body movement. I speak English and Spanish and have a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
