I have both a background in teaching as well as art, both having taken a giant chunk of my career. I have worked on various art projects, from storyboarding for feature length films, to working for Marvel for promotional projects, to illustrating children's books. I have educated in one on one settings as well as larger groups, and most recently I have educated groups of 20-25 grades Pre K to 5. Art projects for the elementary level students included a focus on media study and representation where they broke into groups and created comic books telling their own stories, creating characters that represented them and their backgrounds, and for the younger students, a slew of arts and crafts projects. I strongly believe in passing on knowledge to the future generation so they can use that and be better than everything that came before.
