Throughout my 32 years as a certified (K-12) public school Spanish teacher in both CT and NJ, I’ve never met a student I couldn’t teach! Adept at breaking down complex language concepts into meaningful chunks, I specialize in utilizing Spanish music and academic games to help facilitate memorization and communicative competence. In my mind, there is nothing quite like seeing those magical “aha” moments on the faces of my students! As a lifelong Spanish learner - from a shy, beginning high school Spanish student to my years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras to recent travels in Spain and Mexico - I’ve used my own journey to inspire curious students along their individual path of language learning success. At this point in my life, I’m extremely excited to have recently made the move with my husband to Philly!!! Short term goals include climbing all of the Manayunk steps, finding that elusive perfect vegetarian pizza slice, and decorating my new home with Facebook Marketplace treasures.
