Class Description

This engaging violin program combines elements of the Suzuki philosophy with other proven teaching methods to create a joyful introduction to music. Designed for students ages 4 through teens, the class provides small-group instruction (maximum of six students) where children learn at their own pace while also collaborating with peers. Students will explore all the basics of violin, including instrument care, posture, bowing, and tone production, while developing the ability to play both individually and as part of an ensemble. Repertoire will draw from classical favorites as well as modern selections, giving students a well-rounded musical experience. With opportunities to prepare for multiple performances each year, students will build confidence, musicianship, and teamwork skills in a supportive environment. Please note: Students must bring their own appropriately sized instrument.
