Class Description

Tuesdays | January 4 - April 15 | No course on section for children ages 6-7: 1:15 - 2:15 with Professor Apple | advanced science for children 8-10: 2:15 - 3:15 PM with Adela In this Science class we will use hands-on experiments, basic building and engineering and fieldwork observation to learn and explore various types of science. These will be some of the science topics that will be explored: - Do Molecules Matter? - The Human Body - Earth Science - Creating a terrarium Time permitting, we can cover the Solar System, Insects, Bugs and Spiders, Force and Friction, Mammals, Vertebrates and Invertebrates. About the Teacher: Robert Appleton aka Professor Apple has been an Early Childhood Science instructor for 20 years. He has taught and provided educational services in a great many public and private schools throughout greater New York City. He is the early childhood Science specialist at Congregation Habonim School and Central Synagogue for the past 10 years. In addition, he leads two highly successful After School Science programs for students grades K to 4th at P.S.11 and P.S.3 in Chelsea and Greenwich Village. $43.50 per course, 11 courses remaining (No classes on 10/12). 6 Student Maximum
