Stephen is a painter and illustrator with a passion for storytelling through color and light. Growing up in Queens to Chinese parents, he is fluent in Cantonese, so feel free to strike up a conversation! He started drawing in middle school and has continued ever since, eventually attending the Fashion Institute of Technology for Illustration.

After graduating with a BFA, he landed a gig at Titmouse which kickstarted his career as a background painter within animation. He has gone on to work on several projects from Titmouse, including a Metalocalypse feature film, a video game trailer and has helped out on INVINCIBLE Season 2. He also teaches at a Paint & Sip on the side and believes in the ideal of knowledge for anyone who seeks it.

Stephen is very excited to teach anyone interested in digital painting or animation. He is knowledgeable on a variety of subjects including entry level painting techniques, technical Photoshop help, or even general questions about the animation industry!
