Hola a Todos!

My name is Lauren and I have been living, learning, and traveling for many years now. I guess you could call me a nomad, which is a beautiful and also challenging way to love! I have learned to be creative, work with what I have, and use my gifts and talents to share and learn along the way.

What first brought me overseas was my desire to explore and learn through studying abroad, then teaching English, then eventually pilgrimage. I walked the Camino de Santiago across Spain and then soon found my way to Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe, all before heading back to the USA, where I have been teaching and studying for the last several years. Over the course of my travels, I have learned to play the ukulele, strengthened my singing voice, deepened my yoga practice, and become a certified Reiki master and sound healer.

What’s more, I have gone further into the study and connection to my Caribbean roots, specifically to the island of Cuba. This past year I got to meet relatives for the first time, visit the island, and discover the Rumba Cubana music, dance, and community. I have been learning so much and it has been a beautiful journey of self discovery and remembering.

I am a bilingual, multi-cultural creative who loves to share stories & experiences that highlight these passions and discoveries from years of international travel. A trained yoga, sound, and Reiki healer, as well as professional educator (MA TESOL), I have a true love of learning and am always happy to share these tools and techniques.

Music, movement, and dance are a huge part of my life, as well as connection to nature, plants, animals, and the ancestors. I believe in the power of our lineage and connecting with the ancient technologies and gifts that have been passed to us in our lines. This applies for adults and children, and the younger we can remember, the better!
