Hiya there, I’m Aja (pronounced like the continent “Asia” - it’s a Steeley Dan reference for those in the know 😉)! I’ve been stitchin’ and stylin’ whimsical wears for over a decade, culminating in the creation of my womenswear fashion business AJA MURPHY, which I began establishing in London back in 2018. Sophisticated, bold, confident designs and fanciful hand embroidery are my creative forte, though I’ve quite the knack for the fabrication of intricate novelty jewelry, too!

I’ve also have extensive experience teaching kiddos! Throughout my university years, I tutored underserviced youth (K-12th) in math, science and reading. More recently, however, I served as a lead instructor (kids aged 1st-8th grade) in fashion machine sewing and jewelry making at a prestigious private school arts-based summer camp program in Washington D.C.

I have a passion for fashion and love imparting my artistic and entrepreneurial knowledge to young children because I’m able to witness the magic of their own creative passions and ambitions spring to life!
