As a a mixed media artist from Brooklyn, New York. My upcycled sculptures, and collage art build on the inherent creative potential of everything around us - even trash - to bring beauty and inspiration into everyday life.
Everything in the world is full of potential. As I move through my day and my home city of Brooklyn, I can’t help but notice dormant creativity and possibility in those objects that others might pass over as trash. From fashion magazines to plastic bottles I see potential for those materials to be snipped, glued, or stacked to be transformed into something else.
In 2020, when the world appeared to stand still, I left my decades-long career in the fashion industry and finally decided to create the artworks I had always seen in my mind. Every object and material has the capacity to be transformed and re imagined into something beautiful that attracts, inspires, and adorns.
