I am a Teaching Artist working for DreamYard, NY. Previously, I was employed by Urban Arts Partnership, LeAp, Lyceum Kennedy and other prestigious educational institutions, to teach art in private and public schools for over fifteen years. . During this time, I have continued my studio practice as a professional artist, exhibiting in New York galleries and internationally.
As an artist I am committed to inspiring the students’ imagination and sharing my artistic experience in various types of media and techniques while challenging students to become critical and visual thinkers communicating current issues and ideas through art. I enjoy helping young people to develop their identities, visions and voices through social justice and arts.
Recently five of my students received recognition and golden key awards in regional Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
