Visual Arts I Interdisciplinary Discovery
- I just learned how to crochet and knit!
- All of my students have class playlists, which made Animal Crossing, Harry Potter, and Mario Kart music my most listened to this year.
- I love to read, especially fantasy books and graphic novels.
I am an artist and educator, passionate that the arts can lead students to discover curiosity about the world and inspire lifelong learning. I have been a teaching artist in museums and schools for over four years. I have also worked with students with disabilities both in and out of public schools. I love discovering, experimenting, and asking questions alongside students. In my own practice, I am currently interested in making zines, drawing, and animating my paintings in Photoshop. My goal in the classroom is to create a space that encourages creative freedom and experimentation.
Brianne is a current Master’s candidate in Art Education at The City College of New York. She graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a BFA in Printmaking and a BA in Art History. She is currently a teaching artist in New York and New Jersey.
