Theater, Movement, and Playwriting

Say Hi
  • I have twenty five houseplants (and counting)
  • I am an avid cyclist! I am still trying to figure out what to name my bike.
  • I have lived in nine different states and went to five different elementary schools.

Hi there! My name is Scout (they/them) and I'm a theatre artist and educator based in NYC. I have a background in contact improv, devising, acting, modern dance, and playwriting. I recently was in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird (Broadway) and had a play of mine workshopped at the Tank Theater (Off Bway). I have been lucky enough to devise my own original work with some incredible creatives, and I just went to my first film festival to present a short film I was in! My personal artistic work centers around queering old stories and finding room for more queer voices everywhere I go.
I have taught movement workshops for children ages 8-15, taught swim lessons for all ages, and I taught preschool using an arts based curriculum. I believe that as an arts facilitator, my job is to create the container in which children can better connect to their own creative source and feel confident in their imagination. I honestly believe that I learn more about acting and theater in general than the students I've taught have learned from me!
When I am not teaching, acting, or moving my body, I am cycling, over watering my plants, or staring at my beautiful dog.
