About the course
Creative, energizing, and culturally enriching, New York City has it all! Send your children on an immersive journey to iconic art museums, like MoMA, and cutting-edge art galleries in Lower Manhattan. On our field trips children will have the opportunity to share their observations, make authentic connections with the artwork, and establish personal connections with each other. Each trip will be accompanied by an art class the following week at Togetherhood where children will be introduced to the fundamental elements of art-making and artistic process. From paper collage to clay vessels, children will engage with a variety of materials inspired by the style and techniques of emerging and established artists. We will take a deep dive into paper collage with Henri Matisse and his swimming pool, hop on a rollercoaster of color and texture with contemporary artist Masaki Kawai, and design our own habitats after we traverse the High Line. Come travel the world with us through artwork and imagination right here in NYC!
